Carl Bert Stone 1913 - 2004

BUFFALO - Carl Bert Stone, 91, rural Buffalo, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Heritage Health Care Center, Chanute.

He was born June 9, 1913, in rural Earlton, the son of Carlos Bert and Lillie Pearl Wiggans Stone.

He was a farmer for 75 years near Vilas, Thornburg and High Prairie Community.

He was a member of High Prairie Methodist Church and United Methodist Men, where he participated in a Lay Witness Mission.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Millie P. Blanscet, and an infant sister, Neva Stone.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at High Prairie Methodist Church, led by Pastors John P. Teeter and Harry P. Disbrow. Burial will be in High Prairie Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the church may be left with the funeral home.
