PRINCETON — Lewis E. "Ornery" Hubbard, Jr., 80, of Henry Street formerly of Camp Creek died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Princeton Community Hospital.
Born September 13, 1927 at Camp Creek, he was the son of the late Lewis E. and Eva Williams Hubbard.
Lewis worked as a coal miner last working for Slab Fork Coal Company in Alpoca. He was a member of the UMWA. He served with the 101st Airborne of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scotty Edward Hubbard; six sisters, Beulah Brock, Donna Gunter, Dorothy Hubbard, Ruth Whitt, Dollie Lilly and Lola Muse and one brother, Carl Hubbard.
Survivors: sons, Glenn A. Hubbard and wife Margie of Tazewell, Va., Timothy Dale Hubbard of Camp Creek John D. Hubbard and wife Sandra of Princeton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Arnold Hubbard of Wichita Falls, Texas, James Hubbard, Ray Hubbard of Princeton; Steve Hubbard of Camp Creek and Ezra Hubbard of Camp Creek.
Funeral services will be held from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Minister Bill Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the courthouse road in Princeton where Military graveside rites will be conducted by the US Army National Guard. Pallbearers will be Mark Brock, Phillip Stafford, Aaron Stafford, Glen Hubbard, Jr., Robert Hayes and Jason Rose.
The Hubbard family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.

NOTE: As of Aug 2011 there is no Headstone for my Uncle.
