Annie Ednith "Edna" Tate married O.P. Johnson 15 Nov 1906.

Edna (Tate) Johnson married William Edgar Frisbie on 21 August 1963. William passed away in 1972, and is buried in Hampton, VA.

The grave for Edna (Tate) Johnson is next to her husband O.P. Johnson. Edna's grave shows Edna T. Johnson. They are about center front of the cemetery (closest to US 411). Willie Mae (Tate) Reynolds, Edna's niece, is next to her husband Harry T. Reynolds on one side of the upright "Reynolds" stone and O.P. and Edna Johnson are on the other side. (See Willie Tate Reynolds Memorial ID 27142856.) Willie was the informant on Edna Tate Frisbie's death certificate.

Meade M. Johnson's "Southern Families" has a photo with caption: "Seated is Bob Johnson of the Johnson & Bros. Lumber Co. with his girlfriend, school teacher Edna Tate. Photo made at the Hickey Community on Towee in 1903." One of Edna's nieces says she doesn't know why they call O.P. Johnson Bob. She just remembers saying Aunt Edna and Uncle Bob.

In the family photo, Edna Tate Johnson, Wint Tate and Ella Tate Lee are siblings, and the children of Mary Jane (Smallin) Tate (pictured) and Isaac Tate (deceased). Stanford is the son of Wint and Reva (Hutson) Tate (both pictured). Ruth and Anna Lee are daughters of Ella Tate Lee. David Lee is the son of Ella's son John T. Lee and Bobbie (Little) Lee; Bobbie is to the far right. Lovel Ervin Lee (husband of Ella) and John T. Lee are not in the picture. Bobby Denton is the daughter of Willie Mae (Tate) Denton (not pictured). Willie (later married Harry Reynolds) is the daughter of John Tate, brother of Wint, Edna and Ella.
