Edward D. Brennan was born at Ontario, Canada, July 6, 1867, and departed this life Wednesday morning, August 6, 1919 at his home five miles west of Elm Creek, at the age of fifty-two years, one month.
His father died when he was by a small boy. After the death of his father which occurred in Canada, he was taken to Michigan to live for a few years. When he was about nine years old, he and his mother came to Dawson County, where he lived with her on a homestead about seven miles west of Elm Creek, until grown.
When he was about twenty-two years old, he went west and took a homestead at Elsie, Nebraska, where he lived for many years. In 18977 he came back to his home near Overton and was married to Miss Tracy Weaver. To this union were born 5 children. He leaves to mourn his departure, a heat broken wife, five children, three brothers, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in the Elm Creek Catholic Church.

Edward Brennan is married his home is on the south half of the original homstead which he now owns. He has five children and is the possessor of a confortable home, the family having a host of friend in the comunity. Mrs Brennan, who was Theresa Weaver is a native of Germany, whence her parents emigrated when she was very young.
