Services for Robert J. Burke, 52, Jones were held Feb. 23, 1970 at St. Robert's Church with Father Monahn, Garthoffner and McAuley presiding. Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home in charge. He died at home Tuesday. Burke was born in Marlin, Texas, and moved to Jones in 1922. He was employed as a sales and service representative for the Associated Milk Producers Association the past 15 years. He was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Cleta; one son Maxey; two daughters, Mrs. Sue McEwen and Pam of the home; two brothers Alex, Jones and Mack, Harrah and a sister Beulah Swick, 1108 SW 26; and two grandchildren, Kelly and Shannon.
Robert was the son of "Mary" Maria Maryanna Hopcus and Andreas Henry Bulgewicz. Robert and his brother Alex legally changed their last name to Burke while their older brother Mack L. and father, Henry kept the family name of Bulgewicz. They also had a sister Beulah who married Bruno Swick.
