Bessie was born at Johnson Station on Aug. 29, 1906, to Albert Nelson and Rosey Pearl Pummill Lawing. Bessie was one of 10 children and the only daughter. She was married to Worth Albert Adams for 53 years, and they lived in Fort Worth all their married life. Bessie worked at Monnig's and Stripling-Cox in the alterations department until she retired. Bessie was a faithful member of Southside Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed by all her family, church family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Worth; and seven of her brothers, Arthur, Ray, Herman, Byron, Joe, Evertt and Albert.
Survivors: Brothers, Leslie and Harry Lawing; sister-in-law, Sarah Nelle; many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
