Rev. Lee Caster Tyndall, was the son of Samuel H. Tindall and Eliza M. Vaughn, married Sarah Alena Smith the daughter of Soloman Smith and Elizabeth Degler.

PORTLAND -- Rev. Lee Tyndall, 78, died Sunday in the Jay County Hospital following a long illness.

A native of Adams County, he had served 42 years as a minister in the Wesleyan Methodist and Friends denominations, and was a member of the Alexandria Friends Church.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter, Byron, Herman, Arthur and Miss Vilara Tyndall, all of Portland; a sister, Mrs. James Bailey, Portland, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Eger in charge. Burial will be in the Boundary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
