George Richards Brindle, 82, a retired farmer of Chambersburg, R. R. 1 died at 2 o'clock Sunday morning at his home after an illness of eight months.

Mr. Brindle was born February 17, 1861, son of the late George W. and Elizabeth Keller Brindle. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Fayetteville and at various times had held the office of deacon and elder of the congregation.

In addition to his widow; Mrs. Annie E. Brindle he is survived by a son Lt. George R. Brindle, U. S. Air Force, stationed at Bradley Field, Conn., Mrs. Donald Bosserman; Biglerville; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ida Hartzell of Fayetteville, and two brothers Elmer S. of Oakland, Ca and Harry E. of Chambersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Sellers funeral home in charge of the Rev. Charles Frazier. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
