Evelyn Mae Herman, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Bieber) Herman, was born on June 11, 1930, in Montrose, Colo., where she spent her childhood, received her education and grew to adulthood.
On Sept. 12, 1988, Evelyn entered into marriage with Raymond Hadley in Las Vegas, Nev. Evelyn and Raymond was privileged to share 16 years of marriage last month.
She worked as a waitress at the Stockman's Cafe in Montrose for more than 25 years. She enjoyed making crafts, especially for her family. She loved to cook and have family gatherings. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and loved to travel. Evelyn was a sweet person with a great sense of humor. She greatly adored her grandchildren and attending their activities.
Surviving family members who were blessed to share Evelyn's life include her husband, Raymond Hadley, of Montrose; four sons: Joe Bosgal and wife Tammy, of Montrose; Bryan Pace and wife Cynthia, of Olathe; Michael Pace, of Grand Junction; Jack Pace and wife Kristi, of Montrose; four daughters: Roseann Bosgal, Elaine Baughman, Davine and husband Steve Bruno, Sue Ann Johnson, all of Montrose; two stepdaughters: Bunny and husband Arthur Sutherlin, of Anchorage, Alaska; Frances and husband Bruce Carroll, of Worland, Wyo.; 15 wonderful grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; two brothers: Jim Herman and wife Dee, of Idaho; Jerry Herman and wife Donna, of Montrose; three sisters: Sherry and husband Rich McComb, Roselie Ady, all of Montrose; Josephine Jackson, of Colorado Springs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Beth Pace; two brothers: Jack Herman and Joseph Herman; and one grandson, Michael Pace.
A memorial service in loving remembrance of Evelyn's life will be officiated on Friday, Oct. 8, at 4 p.m. at the Montrose Valley Funeral Home Chapel. The service will conclude at the chapel.
