Mrs. Jacklin had resided at her home in Shelby Township her entire married life. She was a member of the Mount Gilead Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society of the church.
Born in Shelby County on Aug. 17, 1893, Mrs. Jacklin was the daughter of Nicholas A. and Eunice Savanah (Leonard) Miller. On Nov 8, 1928, she was married to Charles Jacklin, who died March 12, 1964.
Surviving are two foster daughters, Miss May Wilson and Miss Marie Wilson, at home, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Ewing Mortuary, with the Revs. William Mocherman and Jesse McKeny officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Thursday. (Obit: The Shelbyville News, June 5, 1974)
