Betty D. Bethel, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2003, surrounded by her family and friends, in Adena Regional Medical Center, following a short illness. She was born November 5, 1918, in Hocking County, to the late Samuel and Mary Martin Morgan. On February 18, 1941, she married Thomas E. Bethel, who died June 3, 1992.

Mrs. Bethel is survived by a daughter and son in law, Linda and Paul Wooldridge, of Chillicothe; a son and daughter in law, Terry and Annetta Bethel of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Julie (Richard) Woods, Douglas (Christy) Bethel, Jason (Jane) Bethel, Jeremy (Allyson) Wooldridge, Megan Wooldridge, Joshua and Terretta Bethel; great-grandchildren, Richard Alan and Jacob Woods, and Ashlie and Sara Bethel; daughter in law, Jane Bethel Miller, a brother, Marion R. (Marilyn) Morgan; sisters Joanne (Edward) McCann, Eleanor Gallaugher, Delia (Malcom) Tittler, all of Chillicothe, Rowena Minney, of Richmond Dale, and Doroty Paul, of Zanesville; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Betty was predeceased by a son, Lloyd E. Bethel; brothers, Loy E. "Joe", Paul, Bennie, and Samuel Morgan; a sister, Mary Bethel; and twin grand-daughters.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
