Frank Edward Nix, 77, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Prospect Baptist Church with Brad Lowery and Leland Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Mars Hill Cemetery.
The Giles County native was the son of the late Clarence C. and Ona Smith Nix. He was the husband of Ruth Bonner Nix. He was retired from Murray Inc. and a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Nix.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bonner Nix of Lawrenceburg; daughters, Beverly Johnson, Susan Landtroop and Kathy Benson, all of Lawrenceburg, and Lisa Jones of Franklin; brothers, Odell Nix of Cookeville, Robert Nix of Lawrenceburg and Clarence Nix of Rogersville, Ala.; sisters, Marie Stewart and Ava Dean Crews, both of Lawrenceburg, Elaine Powell of Mt. Pleasant, Nell Nix of Nashville and Peggy Smith of Marietta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
