Bluegrass Musician. Known by his stage name of "Jake" or "Cousin Jake", he played upright bass and sang tenor vocals as a member of the Foggy Mountain Boys, the bluegrass band that backed Country Music Hall of Fame duo Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. He appeared with the band on the television show “Flatt and Scruggs' Grand Ole Opry Show”, which aired from 1955 to 1969. During the show, he often played foil to the band's dobro player Josh Graves during brief comedy bits. Tullock was also a veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946.
