CENTRAL VALLEY, UTAH--Alice Johnson Benson, 89, of Central Valley, Utah, passed away September 9, 1998 in Richfield, Utah.
She was born June 19, 1909 in Leamington, Utah, to John Walter and Hettie Roper Johnson. Alice married Owen Stubbs Benson, July 14, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, September 10, 1948. He preceded her in death May 9, 1988.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Richard J. and Geri Benson, Orem; Maurice Leon and Mavis Benson, England; John Owen and Dee Benson, American Fork; Gloria Jo and Clair Gubler, Central Valley; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Max Johnson, Sutherland; Hazel Williams, Springville; Helen McEwen, Orem; Muriel Burnham, Lindon, ID.
Preceded in death by husband, Owen; brothers and sisters, Mina Overson, Lester Johnson, Effie Johnson, Mary Johnson, Burt Johnson, Lucy Johnson; grandson, John Scot Benson; great-granddaughter, baby DeLaMora
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 12, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Central Valley LDS Ward in Annabella. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel in Annabella, Saturday morning from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
