While reading The History of Daviess County, Missouri (page 857) I came across Peter's name. He lived in the Northeast corner of Washington Township on section 35. He had been in ill health and hung himself. The book stated he did this on March 18, 1878 and that he was buried in Union Grove Cemetery.
This book was published in 1882.
