ELWOOD — Melanie J. (Ritter) Jones, 47, of Elwood, died after a sudden illness May 22, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was employed by FTL Global Carriers as a driver, and she also drove a school bus for 17 years for the Elwood School Corporation.
She is survived by her husband, Duane Jones; four sons, Brandon Jones, Zachary Jones, Nickolas Jones and Kristafer Jones; two grandchildren; mother, Mary (husband, Stan) Gainer; father Carl L. (wife, Nancy) Ritter; and two brothers, Donald L. Ritter and Barry Ritter.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev. Joe Collier officiating. Interment will follow at Forrestville Cemetery, north of Elwood.
