She was born the daughter of David Stout and Mary Penfield of Newland.
Summer was preceded in death by her brother, Dillon Stout.
Along with her parents, she is survived by; her significant other, Donnie Shook; her two daughters, Destiny Ray Shook and Abigail Arlean Shook, all of Elk Park; her half brother, Leland Penfield of Newland; grandfather, Arlin Stout of Newland, and her grandmother, Rowena Vance of Newland.
