Graveside service for John Chambers, 78, of Decatur was Feb. 15 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur with the Rev. Don Spain officiating.
Chambers died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, in Decatur.
Born March 13, 1929, in El Paso to George William and Mattie Chambers, he married JoAnne Louise Crumm May 31, 1989, in Eureka, Ark. He was a longtime member of the Wise County Antique Auto Club and was a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Randy Chambers and wife, Kim, of Decatur; stepsons, Michael Coleman and John W. Coleman Jr.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gene King, Dan Rhine, Wayne East, Danny Craven, Ricky Gomez and Jimmy Ford, all members of the Wise County Antique Auto Club."
