Edward Claude Eutsler (aka Ted) was born on the 4th of December 1884 at his parents homestead in Ottawa County, Kansas. He was the 2nd of 10 children born to Charles Augusta & Millie Leola (Husted) Eutsler. His father rode many cattle drives from Texas to Montana and on one of those drives he found a spot he planned to settle in Wyoming Territory. In 1888, Millie with her 3 children under 6 made the journey from Kansas to Wyoming in a wagon, and Millie was pregnant with her 4th child.

Ted spent the next 12 years or more at the family home near what is the town of Glendo, in Laramie County (now Platte County), Wyoming. After which time he moved north into Converse County, and settled in the area west of Manville. He built a cabin 4 miles west of that city and spent the rest of his life there.

On 22 Nov 1908 in Manville, Converse, Wyoming Ted married Clara Estella Spaugh who had been born and raised on the Spaugh Ranch near Manville. To this couple were born 9 children : Marjorie Estella, Earl C., Charles Arthur, Addison Leroy, Ida Mary, Eliza Jane, Elizabeth "Lizzie", Annas Pearl and Leonard Joseph. All of his children were born at "Uncle Ted's Cabin" as was his niece Bertha (Daughter of John William & Hazel Edith (Meeker) Eutsler).
