William Harold Skipper, a life-long resident of Wilmington, died Monday, October 1, 2007, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Skipper was born February 13, 1921, in Wilmington. He was the son of the late L.T.C. and Bertha Skipper, both of Wilmington.
He was predeceased in death by his wife of 63 years, Gladys A. Skipper.
Mr. Skipper attended North Carolina State University and is a Veteran of W WII. He was a long standing member of Winter Park Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He worked for many years in the automobile business in Wilmington.
He is survived by two daughters, L. Suzanne Magalis and husband Mike, of Cashiers, N.C. and Deborah Skipper Daniels and husband Karl, of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; one grandson, Shawn Karl Daniels of Kitty Hawk, one step-grandson, Jonathan Daniels and wife Betty-Lou of Kitty Hawk, NC and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2007, in Oakdale Cemetery by the Rev. Mark Teachey.
