He is survived by his wife, Eloise Waller Arthur; daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Arthur and Jon Lawson, Rachel and John Mercer, Amy and Jeff Doumlele; grandchildren, Lisa, Alex, Katie, Rodney, Emily and Annalee; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Taylor; several nieces and nephews and many friends and staff at Lakewood Manor.
Mr. Arthur was a long time member of Branch's Baptist Church, Broad Rock Ruritan Club and was a retired builder and developer of Nuttree Subdivision in Midlothian.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Branch's Baptist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Branch's Baptist Church Building Fund, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, Va. 23234 or the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.
