Services for Melinda Sue Murray, 43, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Kroeger Funeral Home.
She died at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born May 20, 1963, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Gary R. and Betty A. Skaggs Chambers. She was married Oct. 10, 1982, in Clymers United Methodist Church, to Paul D. Murray, who survives.

Melinda was a 1981 graduate of Logansport High School and was active on the reunion committees. She was employed as an instructional assistant at Columbia Middle School. She also had been employed at the Cass County Family Y as a receptionist at the service desk.

A member of Clymers United Methodist Church, Melinda was a member of the United Methodist Women. Over the years, she held numerous administrative positions in the church.

Melinda was a member of Met-N-Et Extension Homemakers Club and was an avid supporter of Logansport athletics.

She loved to read and spend time with her family.

Also surviving are her parents, Logansport; two sons, Dustin A. Murray, Indianapolis, and Nicholas A. Murray, Logansport; two sisters, Bert L. Chambers, Logansport, and Deborah A. Chambers, Greenwood; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary M. and Glenda Chambers, Logansport; one sister-in-law, Debbie Bridegan and her husband, Joe, Belloit, Wis.; brothers-in-law, Earl E. Murray III, Logansport, and Jamie Murray and his wife, Terri, Walton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Rev. Kevin Drane will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Cass County.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Clymers United Methodist Church.
