Wanda Lee Trammell, daughter of the late Raymond E. Holmes and Vera May Geeham Holmes and the woman who raised her, Ruby Holmes, was born on Oct. 17, 1925 at Sikeston and died on Feb. 12, 2011 at the Transcen-dent Health Care in Boonville, Ind., at the age of 85.
Mrs. Trammell was a resident of Dexter and attended the Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter.

She was united in marriage to John Trammell on Nov. 3, 1945 at Bloomfield. Mr. Trammell preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Trammell of Springfield and James Trammell of Dexter; one brother, Harold E. Holmes of Dexter; by eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond E. Holmes Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 from 12:30 -3 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m.in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Rick White officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
