Joseph Myers was born in the state of Indiana November 3rd, 1859, and departed this life at his home near Spring Hill, Iowa, April 6th, 1921, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 3 days.

On December 22, 1882, he was united in marriage to Ermine Phillips of Kentucky, at Indianola, Iowa. To this union were born five children, one of whom has preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and four children: Mrs. T.W. Utsler of Des Moines; Mrs. H.D. Hart of Lamoni; George W. Myers of Des Moines and Vodra J. Myers of Spring Hill. He also leaves to mourn his loss five brothers and one sister, Lon of Ames, Iowa; Charlie of Oklahoma; Jasper, Henry and Lafayette of Colo, Iowa; and Mrs. Mahala Allen of Laurens, Iowa.

"Call not back the dear departed,
Anchored safe where storms are o'er,
On the border land we left him
Soon to meet and part no more.
When we leave this world of changes,
When we leave this world of care,
We shall find our missing loved one
In our Father's mansion fair."

Card of Thanks: -- We wish to express our thanks to the kind friends who helped during the sickness and after the death of our dear husband and father; also for the beautiful flowers. – Mrs. Ermine Myers and Children
