The funeral for Leone M. Ulwelling will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with the Rev. James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Ulwelling, 79, of Adams, died Monday (May 19, 2008) at Adams Health Care Center.

Leone Mary Kramer was born July 29, 1928, in Adams. She married Paul Ulwelling on May 24, 1949, in Adams. She was a member of many organizations over the years, but was particularly proud of her involvement in Birth Right; the DAC, of which she was a founding member; and 55 Alive, where she taught classes. In her spare time, she enjoyed stamping, making cards, decorating, flowers, and organizing groups to do activities.

She is survived by her spouse, Paul Ulwelling; a daughter, Victoria (Paul) Blum of Minneapolis; a son, Joseph (Sandra) of Plainview; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Lyda (Harold) Mandler of Austin; and a brother, Gerald (Elaine) Kramer of Adams. Other survivors include a sister-in-law, Ruth Kramer of Adams; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home, with a Prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour before the service Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
