Lillie Tuck Russell, age 88 of Loudon, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016.

Lillie was the oldest living member of Jackson Chapel Baptist Church and proud of it. Retired from Bacon Hosiery and Genesco Hosiery Mills. Born to the late Gurthie Albert and Sarah Fannie (Jeffers) Tuck.

She married Ake Henry Russel, Nov. 10, 1945 and they enjoyed a 58 year marriage. She was a good mother and homemaker and her boys say she was an expert hickory swinger. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dweida Barger and Ola Mae Childress.

Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Kenneth Russell, Robert and Darlene Russell, Gurtha Dean and Juarenda Russell, all of Loudon; grandchildren, Tiffany Russell, Tonia and Kenneth Reed,, Matthew and Alix Russell, Kendra Russell, Nikki Carpenter and Misty and Jamey Wilson; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, John Tuck and Carroll and wife, Joyce Tuck; sisters, Nora Jacobs and Ketha Cook, several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jim and Faye Roberts, Helen Garner, Tammy Hawk, Lorene Fagg, Ailene Akins and Zack Watkins.

Services honoring and remembering Lillie Russell will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Jackson Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Jameson and Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Interment to follow in Simpson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church. The family will receive friends 1:30 – 3:30 PM prior to the service at Jackson Chapel Baptist Church, 101 Markwood Rd., Loudon, TN McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, 406 Wharf St. Loudon, TN.
