KINGSLAND - Dorothy M. Golden, 55, of Kingsland, went to be with her heavenly father after a lengthy illness with Lewy Body Dementia on Thursday, May 22, 2008. She was born in Fordyce, Arkansas, on August 11, 1952. Mrs. Golden was a homemaker and had previously attended the Kingsland Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband, Danny R. Golden of Kingsland, Ark.; her parents, B.C. and Pat Parnell of Kingsland, Ark.; a son, Terry D. Golden of Kingsland, Ark.; three daughters, Marsha Shaver and her husband Joe of Kingsland, Ark., Misty Simmons and her husband James of Pine Bluff, Ark., Danna Roark of Fordyce, Ark.; two brothers, Bobby Parnell of Fordyce, Ark., Arnold Harker of Kingsland, Ark.; a sister, Wanda Richart of Kingsland, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Andrew Roark, and a son-in-law, Floyd Lynn Gullett.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial was at Watson Gum Grove Cemetery in Kingsland. The Rev. Lewis Langley and Rev. Harold Sims officiated.
