Okolona - Stacy Townsend, 77, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a deacon at Zion Spring Missionary Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Zion Spring M. B. Church with Pastor Emmit Jarmon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Jackson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Thelma Green Townsend; one daughter, Mary T. Gunn and her husband Woodrow of Okolona; one brother,Booker T. Townsend Jr. of Okolona; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.
