Joe Eutsler Dies at Ranch Home; Final Services Held Here February 11

John William "Joe" Eutsler, 60, died at the family ranch home northeast of Manville on Sunday, Feb. 8 after an illness of about nine months.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eutsler and was born Oct. 15, 1892 at Glendo, Wyo. One of nine children, he attended school at Glendo until 1903 when the family moved to Manville and he completed his schooling there.

As a young man he was employed on various ranches until he filed on a homestead northeast of Manville where he lived until he entered military service in World War I. He served in France and Germany until 1919 with the First Division of the 8th Infantry.

On Dec. 10, 1921 he was married to Miss Hazel Edith Meeker and they became the parents of 12 children. The family was reared on the ranch which is their home today, where Mr. Eutsler engaged in the livestock business.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the Congregational church of Lusk.

The musical selections, "Rock of Ages" and "We Are Going Down The Valley" were sung by Mrs. A.F. DeCastro and Mrs. Emerson Bonner, with Mrs. J.P. Watson as the accompnaist.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery where graveside services were conducted by members of Wieten--Dupes Post No. 4 of the American Legion.

Casket bearers were Ed Parmely, Otto H. Klemke, James McCune, T.L. Cantwell, Ernest Schuricht and Fred Kettler.

One son, Charles William, preceded his father in death. Survivors include his widow, Hazel, 11 children, Mrs. Steve Martin, Newcastle; Harold Edward, Lance Creek; Thomas Leroy, Manville; Mrs. Bertha Stephen, Lusk; Richard Joe, Lance Creek; Mary Jane, Billy Mae, Betty Jo, Jim of the family home; 10 grandchildren and three brothers, Thos. E. and Leo R. both of Lusk and Charles H. of Douglas; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Dryer of Manville and Mrs. Earl Bowlds of Livingston, Mont.
