"Ralph Connor" was the pen-name of Rev. Charles William Gordon, a Presbyterian minister. Not only a legend among Canadian authors, but famous world-wide, during his lifetime he sold over 5 million copies of his books, many of which are still reprinted. Known for adventure novels, among his 43 books are:
- "Black Rock", 1898
- "Beyond the Marshes", 1898
- "The Sky Pilot", 1899
- "The Man from Glengarry", 1901
- "Glengarry School Days", 1902
