Steven Nixon, 53, of Wichita, KS, died May 19 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita following a long illness.
Mr. Nixon was born April 28, 1955, in Wichita, KS. He was a graduate of East High School in Wichita. He worked for Sedgwick County, the Wichita school system, and owned a retail business in Wichita.
Survivors include his mother, Emma J. Nixon of Independence, KS; one sister, Debby Bryant of Independence, KS; one brother, Bob Nixon of Shell Knob; several nieces and nephews, and one friend, Lori McClelland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence J. Nixon.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. tomorrow, May 23, at Lake Park Memorial Gardens in Shell Knob.
