Mr Elmo Morgan, son of J J Morgan Esq of Irish Corner district was killed last Friday while working for the Masters logging gang, near Spice Run, Pocahontas county. The fatal accident occurred about 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon. Mr Morgan and a young Mr Masters were swathing when a falling limb struck Morgan on the head. He was unable to clear the path of the limb on account of wearing a new pair of shoes, which caused him to slip. He died about 5 o'clock the same day, and his body was brought to the city on Saturday. The remains were buried in the family burying ground last Sunday.
