Asa was a farmer whose farm was located in Sprinfdale, OR. He was able to weather through the great depression. Also, as indicated on the headstone, Asa was known to sometimes sign his name as G. Berry Watts, but it is unknown why.
Note: Birth certificate of his youngest son Floy has Berry's name as Green Berry Watts and also lists an uncle (of Floy? or Berry?) by the name of Boyd Watts whom I don't recall.
