This obituary, which appeared in the Idaho Statesman on 29 November 2006, was written by my Uncle Bill.

"Patsy L. Pulley, 68, of Fruitland, died unexpectedly from an aneurysm in the brain on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 after joyfully celebrating a wonderful Thanksgiving week with her family. She was born on Aug. 26, 1938 and was raised in Boise. She graduated from Boise High in 1956 and maintained close connections with her high school friends. In 1957 she and William (Bill) Pulley were married and they had just celebrated their 49th anniversary the evening prior to her death. During the early years of their marriage, Bill and Pat lived in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas before settling in Kenner, La. where they established deep and abiding friendships. In 1998, they returned to Idaho to the delight of their Idaho relatives. Pat was a wonderful, kind, loving person whose life was centered around her family and friends. She looked forward to her trips to Florida and Louisiana to visit and spoil her grandchildren and always scheduled her Tuesdays to spend the day with her special mother-in-law Josephine Pulley. She was a wonderful cook, always adding a little extra touch to a recipe to make it her own. The spectacular cheesecakes and other desserts, which she created for special occasions, will always be remembered by her family. She loved her home and the natural surroundings, birds and wildlife on the riverbank in Fruitland. She spent many enjoyable days birding and enjoyed participating in the Southwestern Idaho Birder's Association activities with her brother and sister-in-law Spike and Judy Baker. She also enjoyed her volunteer activities at the Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge. She loved traveling with Bill in their RV and looked forward to trips to Lewiston to visit Larry and Emily Pulley, camping with her brother Roger and his dear friend Becky, picking huckleberries and sharing memories by the campfire. Her loss will be felt in the lives of all who knew her. Pat provided loving care to her mother Marjorie Gerlach Craddick who died in 1994 and to her beloved son Joseph Conner Pulley who died in 1995. She received comfort from her church and her faith sustained her during these difficult times.
