She is survived by her daughter and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Mattie Payne; her husband: Roy S. Bankester and her daughter: Lynda Bankester Allen.
The graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Bromley Cemetery with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Home Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Although the family will receive flowers donations may be made to Durant Chapel Baptist Church, 9551 Highway 138, Bay Minette, Alabama 36507
