Veteran of World War II, U.S. Army
Field Artillery, Staff Sgt.,
European Theatre and Reconstruction.
Participated in many battles including
Battle of the Bulge, Ardennes, Rhineland,
Central Europe.
Decorated with the American EAME Theater
ribbon with three Bronze Stars, The Good
Conduct medal, European Theatre medal
and the WWII Victory medal.
GOGDETIC COMPUTER 243 Specialist
291st FA Observation Battalion.
He was an early Red Stone Project, Polaris
Missle and Space Flight Engineer,
and was employed by International Harvester
Company and Frigidaire before retiring in
1982 as a mechanical engineer with the
General Electric Company in Pennsylvania.
Following his retirement, he served as a
consultant with the State of New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years,
Baroness des Floris Ange'le L. Renaud Hardin,
two step-daughters, Mrs. Jean (Pritchett)
Martino, and Shirley E. (Hardin) Tatem;
a sister and a brother.
