MRS. JOHN J. LUDLUM
Lela Ludlum. 92, formerly of the Eslmore area, died Saturday, January 25, at the Countryside Estate here where she had been a patient for the past two years.
Mrs. Ludlum was born June 25, 1882, at Arthur, Illinois, and moved to the Kincaid area as a child. She was married to John J. Ludlum and they farmed near Elsmore for 54 years before his death November 1, 1958.
Mrs. Ludlum was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church here at the time of her death and before that had been a member of the Elsmore United Methodist Church, teaching the beginners Sunday School Class for 45 years.
Survivors include three sons, Ralph J. Ludlum, Bartlesville; George Merle Ludlum, Estes Park, Colorado; and Franklin Earl Ludlum, Pittsburg; a sister, Mrs. Flossie Ferguson, Dallas; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Elsmore United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. M. Torrence officiating. Burial was in the old Elsmore Cemetery. A memorial fund in Mrs. Ludlum's name has been established at the Elsmore United Methodist Church.
The Ralston-Hutton Chapel, Moran, handled the arrangements.
