OCEANSIDE -- WWII Purple Heart Army Veteran, Cornelius Lamar Love Jr., passed away on May 4, 2014. As a WWII hero, he was forced to bail out of a smoking bomber at 18,000 feet over a German minefield. He was instrumental in the planning and construction of a WWII monument to honor the fallen soldiers from Shelbyville, Kentucky. He is missed now by his Veteran friends and his neighbors and his most devoted friends, Teri and Ed. They volunteered their time to visit him daily and provide him with basic needs as well as a sense of family. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Rita Love of Oceanside, CA. Services have been held.
