Leo "Trapper" John Hoffman, age 85, passed away November 5, 2010 at Doctor's Hospital West. Trapper John was an instructor for the Ohio Trapper's Association. He was a life member of NTA, NATCA and OSTA. During WW II he was a flight engineer/gunner on the B-24 Bomber "Misbehavin." He was also an avid reader and a member of the Masonic Lodge F& AM 779. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley May Hoffman, brother Richard Hoffman, sister Betty Evans and his beloved dog Jake. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah A. (Harold II) Davis; sons, John Alan Hoffman and Ricky Lee (Terry) Hoffman; grandchildren, Ilia (John) Jordan, Athena Davis, Harold Davis III, Brianne and Brian Hoffman; great grandchildren, Jaron and Kyler Jordan; dear friends, Tom and Jane Parr; and numerous friends. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME 2697 Columbus St. Grove City, where funeral will be held 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
