John Mitchell Wilber, loving husband of Lily Pearl Wells Wilber, who preceeded him in death in 1969, came to Washington County, AR in 1896 with his family. From that time on, he and his family spent their lives in Washington and Benton Counties in AR. He married his sweetheart, Pearl, in 1922, and together they had two sons and one daughter; Raymond Harold, Marvin John, and Peggy Sue, and eventually added a large number of grandchildren to the family.
John served his country during WWI in the U.S.Army, and was a local member of the Gravette VFW post. He was a son of Charles Robert Wilber and Mary Artemis Lockhart.
