The remains of Capt. N. Edson Sheldon were brought to Delhi Monday and placed in the Woodland Cemetery Vault to await burial in the spring.
Capt. Sheldon was a son of Crawford B. Sheldon, so favorably remembered by the early residents of Delhi. Edson was a captain in the U.S.A. service during the civil war and was one of the body guard of Gen. McClellan. He died recently in a sanitarium in Kankaskie [sic], Ill., at the advanced age of 90 years.
