He was born Nov. 9, 1932 at rural Millerstown to the late Pusey C. and Mary Margaret (Smeltz) Losch.
He was a heavy equipment operator for 17 years for Hempt Bros., Inc. of Camp Hill; a professional artist for 30 years, owning and resident artist of Heartland Gallery & Publishing Company, Thompsontown; a 1951 graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown; studied music at Penn State University, State College and Lebanon Valley College; a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict and playing bass horn in the 1st Marine Corps Band, and served in the Air Force Reserves; a member of and former council president of Faith Lutheran Church, Richfield RR 1, Tennis Lodge 371, F&AM, Thompsontown; supporter of Ducks Unlimited, where he was artist of the year, and supported the Pennsylvania Wildlife and Pennsylvania Turkey federations; and named Perry County Artist of the Year.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Annamae Lengel Losch; four sons, pastor Pusey A. of Richfield RR 1, Michael E. and George A., both of Thompsontown, and Stuart M. of Port Royal; two daughters, Julie A. Barnes of Liverpool and Sarah L. Carvell of Millerstown RR 2; two sisters, Olive L. Troup of Seven Stars and Rosemary Beaver of Hershey; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John I., and a sister, Eleanor L. Hine.
Services were held Sept. 21 in his church with the Rev. Timothy W. Bingman officiating. Burial, with military honors by Juniata County Veterans Council, was in the church cemetery.
