Passed away peacefully at Millennium Trail Manor on Friday, January 1, 2021, at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne Ward (2002). Dear and loving mother of Peter Sawchuk and Jill, Bill Sawchuk and Crystal and stepmother to Karen Ward, Steven Ward and Paddy.
Betty Anne dedicated her heart and soul to mental health services; she was a founder of the Oak Centre Club House - Alternative Community Support, in Welland. She was a lifelong registered nurse, and later in her life discovered therapeutic touch and used it to ease the lives of others. Betty was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed by all who knew her.
