Janet Katherine Reid Halladay Garner passed away Sunday morning, May 18, 2008, of a Heart Attack at the Mountain View Hospital.






She was born in Orem, Utah on October 28, 1937 to Albert James Reid and Hazel Park. She was educated in Orem, graduating from Lincoln High School.





She married David B. Halladay and they raised their family in Provo. Janet and Dave divorced. She later married Thomas Garner of Ogden. During her career, she was a hard worker in many fields. She worked as a seamstress and retired as a clerk for the Utah State Government.






Janet loved genealogy, traveling, going to Disneyland, sports, bowling, going to movies, building puzzles, playing board games, and being with her family. Everyone loved her roast beef, GJP, and homemade rolls. She loved her dogs, they were her babies. Her greatest joy came from raising her children and grandchildren. Janet was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She joined the Church at the age of 16. She was determined to raise her family by its teachings.





She was preceded in death by husband, Tom; parents; step father, Hank Anshutz; sister, Dixie; brothers, Max and Robert; daughter-in-law, Crystal Halladay; two grandsons, Colton and her little Nick; and a granddaughter Annie. She is survived by sister, Pat (Karl) Johnson; children, Doug (Tammy) Halladay; Ed (Mindy) Halladay; Duane Halladay; Janine (Craig) Sames; 17 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.







Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Page LDS Ward Chapel located at 711 South 600 East, Payson, Utah. Family and Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork or on Thursday morning at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to Services.
Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
