CORY DON PATTERSON, 26, of Duncan, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Madill.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God, with the Rev. Wayne Morrow and the Rev. David Morrow officiating. Interment will be in Hope Community Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
He was born April 13, 1982, in Lawton, to Eddie Dean and Deressa "Dee" Howard Patterson. He married Brittanie Smith on Sept. 17, 2005, in Duncan.
Cory graduated from Duncan High School in 2000. He was a member of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God, where he was involved in "Changed Youth Ministries."
He was employed by Schlumberger as a wireline operator.
Cory was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman who enjoyed the lake and jet skiing. He was a sports enthusiast, especially OU events, and enjoyed watching UFC.
He is survived by his wife, Brittanie of the home; his mother and father, Dee and Eddie Patterson of Duncan; a brother, Christopher Glen Patterson and his wife Deanna of Duncan; his paternal grandfather, J.W. Patterson, and maternal grandparents, Gerald and Patsy Howard, all of Marlow; a niece, Kadance Savannah Patterson, and a newphew, Gavin Cole Patterson, both of Duncan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Oletha Patterson in 2005.
Bearers will be Johnny Bernard, Christopher Patterson, Matthew Gore, Mark Morrow, Patrick Norton and Chad Rogers.
Honorary bearers are Josh Bumpas, Kendall Margerum, Noah Roberts, Terry Cox, Aaron Smalley, Cody Bernard and Jeremy Curtis.
