PETERSEN -- ENGEL
This morning at ten thirty o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Engel, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Elisabeth, to Mr. Albert Petersen, with Rev. Treick of the German Reformed church officiating. Only the immediate families of the two young people were present.
The out of town guests were Mr. Thomas Petersen of Madison, Nebraska, and Miss Emma Petersen of Yankton, South Dakota, father and sister of the groom. Following the wedding dinner Mr. and Mrs. Petersen took the noon train for a wedding trip and will visit Sioux City, Omaha and other points. They will make their temporary home with her parents in this city.
Mrs. Petersen has lived all her life in Scotland for some time has been an efficient clerk in the Boston Store. Mr. Petersen came here about a year ago as the local representative of the South Dakota Light & Power Company, but has severed his connections with that company and is now doing electrical work independently. In this year he has made many friends in Scotland who will join with the many life long friends of the bride in wishing the young couple all the joys of a long wedded life.

Albert Petersen Succumbs at 73
Albert Petersen, 73, died in Los Angeles December 28th of pneumonia.
Burial was in San Pedro, California.
Mr. Petersen , son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Petersen, was born May 7, 1885, on a farm 3 miles west of Madison.
Survivors include: 1 daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Reeg [Rugg] of Tucson, Arizona; 2 sons, Allen of Wilmington, California and Harold of Shell Beach, California; 1 sister, Emma Petersen of Norfolk, and 3 brothers, Otto of Palatine, Illinois, Henry of Compton, California and Karl of El Monte, California.
