Kelly was born June 22, 1969, to Jerry and Evelyn Chew Girty in Cherokee, Oklahoma and passed from this life January 26, 2024, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Jet, Cherokee, and then Enid graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1987. He worked as a truck driver, short and long haul for various trucking companies and briefly worked in the oilfield. He was a passionate and talented drummer and loved attending live rock concerts and hanging out with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kurtis and Karl Girty.
