Thomas H. P. Flippin was the son of Thomas H. Flippin and Elizabeth Baugh. He died at age 66 years 8 months 18 days, which would make him born around 5 May 1819. Perry married first to Harriet Tabor and second to Julia A. Treat.

Son of Thomas H. and Elizabeth (Baugh) Flippin. Brother of Judge W. B. Flippin, the founder of Flippin, Arkansas. He was a wealthy farmer of Marion County and was highly respected. His death, which occurred in 1892, was regretted by many.

Could his middle names have been "Hazard Perry," for the naval hero of the War of 1812? THPF was born in the same year (1819) that Oliver Hazard Perry died. His father, Thomas H. Flippin, had recently served in the Kentucky Mounted Militia during that War.
