"Apr 10 - Jonas Stroup, aged nearly 75 years, died at his home here last Saturday after being seriously sick for a week. He spent his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was married to Rebecca Foulk, who with one son and one daughter, Mrs. John Moherman and five grandchildren survive. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at the North church of which he was a member, services conducted by Rev. Ports, assisted by Dr. Kendig. He will be greatly missed by his neighbors and the church."
