Alice was born the ninth child of twelve children to Denton and Edith Oberholzer Berger.

Alice married Andrew C. Grosh April 12, 1941, by Rev. Berry Plummer, in Hagerstown, MD.

As a young woman she was employed as a factory worker and clerk.

Alice was the mother of two daughters, who survived her, Joanne (Bruce) Moats and Lisa Long.

Besides her husband, daughters she was also survived by five granddaughters and a grandson.

Alice died of a Cerebral Aneurysm.
